The well known poet and journalist who travelled extensively and wrote for many years as a correspondent for The Pioneer(started in Allahabad in 1864 as one of the first Indian newspaper). He is considered as one of the greatest english writers, for him India was wondrous place along with his younger sister,Alice he reveled in exploring the local markets. He learned the language and in this bustling city of Hindus, Muslims etc connected with the country and its culture.
He made his home with his parents in Lahore and with his father’s help,found a job in a local newspaper. And became famous for his work as an author for an array of works like “The Jungle book” and many more and received Nobel prize in literature.
